The Hilton Foundation has given $2.3Million to the City of Agoura Hills for the construction of a new recreation center to be built on Ladyface Court (next to City Hall).
The donation was double what was previously thought by officials.
One of my business heroes, Conrad Hilton, started the foundation back in 1944 as a way to help charities around the world. The Hilton Foundation recently moved their headquarters to Agoura Hills. Quoting foundation chairman Steven M. Hilton, “Working with the leadership of the City of Agoura Hills during the construction of our campus allowed us to learn about this beautiful area…”
The recreation center was designed by Roesling Nakamura Terada Architects in Ventura will provide room for events, meetings and will include a kitchen and storage space.
Construction will begin next month with a completion date of December 2014.
This architectural firm has a terrific website with beautiful designs. http://www.rntarchitects.com/home.html
