Smart Technology
Smart Technology Products in Your Home

Automated climate controlled thermostats with energy management feature including the ability to control your home’s temperature remotely.  I know I’ve left the heater on more than once when I’ve left the house.  Or how about turning on the heat 30 minutes before you arrive home to make you comfortable as soon as you step through the door.

Automated lighting systems with remote control to enhance safety and lower your electric bills each month. Useful for both inside and outside of the home, this is especially important when you are gone for extended periods of time.

Feeling Safe While Away

Remote home monitoring using cameras and a remote connection with your smart phone, tablet or office computer to check on your property when you’re away.  Its a great way to check on your pets (or your kids).

You don’t have to be a technology geek to install most of these items and they are already available at major home improvement stores such as Lowe’s or The Home Depot.  The most practical items and the ones with the highest demand with consumers are the gadgets that will save on your monthly energy costs.  Consumers of all ages agreed that the thermostat would be the first place they look to make the high tech improvements.  Comfort is a priority with everyone.  So is the growing trend to desire smart lighting over smart audio components.

Another trend seems to be less demand for home security systems being that the largest group to have them are the baby boomers in the 60 and over age group.  Not surprisingly, more than half of the Millennials already incorporate smart technology into their current homes.
